Dr. Olle Selinus (1943-2023), a pioneer in medical geology and a founder of both the International Medical Geology Association (IMGA) and the International Symposium on Environmental Geochemistry (ISEG), passed away at the age of 80 on 18 November 2023 in Kalmar Hospital, Sweden. His groundbreaking work spanned decades, leaving a lasting legacy in the field. Dr. Selinus was instrumental in establishing IMGA and organizing the ISEG conference series while advocating for geochemistry integration into public awareness and policy. Additionally, he was a board member of the first board of the Council for Nutritional and Environmental Medicine.
